Certificate in Middle Eastern & Islamic Studies

The certificate in Middle Eastern and Islamic studies provides students the opportunity to formally explore the cultural, political and religious diversity of the Middle East and the Islamic worlds.听Students learn about the many countries that make up the region while also exploring the birthplace of the three major monotheistic faiths. Students complete the certificate with knowledge of the rich literary, architectural and religious traditions of the area.

Academic Plan & Requirements

Along with fulfilling the requirements for an undergraduate degree at CU 色吧亚洲, students must complete a total of 19 credit hours to earn this certificate.

Students will take a mix of language and content courses:

One year of required Arabic or Farsi courses
Three elective courses听

Note: Students cannot declare both the Certificate in Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies and the Minor in Arabic Studies.
