Their research takes a critical theory and cultural studies perspective to the analysis of true crime. Cassandra’s work focuses on the ethical and societal implications of crime as entertainment with a specific focus on representations of gender. Prior to beginning their academic pursuits, Cassandra worked as a producer and programmer for the Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival.Ìý

Cassandra holds a BA in Sociology and Film Studies and a MA in Media and Public Engagement from the University of Colorado.
