In collaboration with Alaska Pacific University and the听University of Alaska Fairbanks, CU 色吧亚洲 is cohosting听the initiative,听which uses convergence research to address and听mitigate climate-change-related challenges in the rapidly听changing Arctic.
The Community Office is led by Matthew Druckenmiller听from the at听CU 色吧亚洲.
Funded by the NSF for five years, the Community Office听supports the goals of the Navigating the New Arctic听initiative by focusing on co-production of knowledge听with Indigenous peoples, convergence research,听culturally responsive education and outreach, and听open science. The Community Office also works to听increase recognition of Indigenous knowledge and data听sovereignty, and to promote inclusive and collaborative听research design and implementation.
