Did you know that cavities are the most chronic childhood disease? Cavities are 100% preventable, and CU can help protect your child’s oral health through your dental plan.

CU Health Plan - Essential and Choice dental plans include Delta Dental’s Right Start 4 Kids, which removes most cost barriers to dental care for enrolled children up to age 13.

Right Start 4 Kids provides full coverage (or 100% coinsurance, in benefits lingo) for eligible diagnostic and preventive, basic and major services.

Take note: This coverage only applies when you see an in-network provider. If you use an out-of-network provider, adult coinsurance levels apply – meaning you will miss out on significant savings. Orthodontic services are not eligible for Right Start 4 Kids savings.

Following the program’s guidelines, Right Start 4 Kids will promote life-long healthy dental habits and save you money.

Eligibility: You must be in a benefits-eligible position, working 50% or greater time to enroll in and use this CU Advantage item. Eligible CU faculty and staff can enroll in, adjust or cancel their benefits during the annual Open Enrollment period or certain qualifying life events. Eligible new hires have 31 days after their hire date to select their benefits package.
